Departures ~$15K–$20K

Departures & arrivals — ODP, SID, STAR.

The routes that complete your instrument capability: getting aircraft safely off the ground past the obstacle environment, and sequencing them in. RNAV or conventional, designed to TERPS criteria.

What this covers

The other half of all-weather access.

An approach gets aircraft down — but a complete instrument capability also needs a safe, obstacle-evaluated way out, and orderly arrival routing. We design Obstacle Departure Procedures and Standard Instrument Departures around your terrain and airspace, and Standard Terminal Arrivals where traffic warrants, in RNAV or conventional form.

Departure design is often the highest-value, lowest-cost piece of the puzzle — a well-designed ODP can unlock IFR departures that obstacles would otherwise block.

Procedure types

  • ODP — Obstacle Departure Procedure
  • SID — Standard Instrument Departure (RNAV or conventional)
  • STAR — Standard Terminal Arrival
  • Departure obstacle & climb-gradient analysis
  • Diverse departure assessment
  • RNAV Visual arrival routing where suitable
Indicative pricing

Often the best value in the program.

Departure procedures (ODP/SID) typically run ~$15K–$20K; arrivals (STAR) are scoped to complexity. Flight inspection is coordinated where required. Departures pair naturally with an approach project — and are frequently bundled into a turnkey program.

Who it's for

Airports where obstacles or traffic complicate the climb-out.

Fields with terrain or obstructions that constrain IFR departures, airports adding an approach that also need a matching departure, and busier fields that would benefit from published arrival routing.
